Many pet rescuers can tell you that black colored dogs and cats are the last to be adopted and the first to be euthanized. Little Black Dog Rescue aims to rescue black dogs from high kill-shelters and put them into foster homes around Connecticut to be adopted. The organization saves dozens of black dogs each year with the help of volunteers of all ages who open their homes to foster dogs and handle dogs at various adoption events.
