Hailing from what he calls “the country part of Florida,” Warner Brothers Recording Artist Michael Ray has always loved country music. When he joined us on Wonderama, Michael performed his number one hit song “Kiss You in the Morning” and a favorite by one of his biggest musical influences, Randy Travis.

Michael is clearly a talented musician with a whole lot of passion for what he does. But what you might not know about him is what he likes to do in his free time. I’ll give you a hint: it’s green, up to 10.5 feet long, and very scaly. Can you guess what I’m talking about?

Alligators! Michael Ray hunts alligators! It makes sense, I suppose, from a Florida native but… wow. That takes guts! In 2016, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission estimated that there are 1.2 million alligators living in Florida. The group considers recreational alligator hunting just one part of its approach to managing the species, and only people with a special license are allowed to participate.

When he’s not hunting alligators or having a blast on Wonderama, Michael Ray is making more music, touring, and performing. Learn more about Michael’s music on his website, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Spotify, and iTunes.
