Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, seventh grader Quarrion Phillips aka Que9 was first recognized for his love of music and his rapid grasp of lyrics at the age of one. He was never shy, with big personality, known for stealing the attention at family gatherings and kid parties with his dancing and rapping. Que9 recorded his first single at the age of 4 and sold his CD at shows, malls, and high schools. The natural born entertainer was an artist featured on 2012’s Keep the School’s Safe Tour, promoting non-bullying in Detroit’s high schools hosted by WJLB 97.9 FM. He is a 2X winner of Detroit’s Before They Were Stars for 2011 and 2013 and has been awarded monetary gifts, as well as trophies for his talent. In 2015 he captivated the attention of his hometown’s most prominent independent label; BMB Records which is now his musical home.
